Stefanac Response

This interpretation of the blogging world allowed me to see things in a different way. Not only is a blog somewhere to write down thoughts and ideas, but they can also be used as an outlet to a genre which interests you. A person can start a blog to convey their true passions and interests to those who may share similar ideas. This is a great way for your voice to be heard, when it otherwise may be a lot more challenging.

Blogs offer a place where people can collect their thoughts and make observations on topics they feel passionate about. This may allow the blogger to cultivate a following of people who may be trying to do the same thing. However, Stefanac instills the notion that one should never create a blog in the hopes of achieving fame and fortune. Although a slight fortune may follow the success of a blog she says, "if your heart isn't it it and the content is forced, your efforts are likely to fall flat and fail to attract a steady audience". This makes a great deal of sense, because no one will want to visit your site if they feel you're only doing it to gain notoriety, not share insight and enthusiasm. If you feel strongly about a certain subject that will be evident in the content of the blogs.

The content about Mr. Jalopy was quite interesting to read. It mentions how he took his hobbies and broadcasted them through the use of a blog. This allowed people who shared his love of cars, and enjoyed making things out of everyday items, to see what others are capable of and voice their opinions. He took something that many people may be doing otherwise and brought them together into a shared forum to show what is possible. A hobby can become much more interesting when it becomes apparent that many others share similar ideas and passions.
